Billy Almaguer

Billy is the Lead and Planting Pastor of Awaken City Church. He and his wife, Kelli, have been serving in ministry together since 2001 with a big heart for the local church and a passion for helping people take real steps in their walk with Jesus. In 2015, they followed God’s call to start a church focused on reaching people who are close to us but far from God—and helping them find life in Christ.

Billy is all about community, people, and seeing others thrive in their faith. He’s a licensed professional engineer with over 20 years of experience and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Biblical Leadership through Western Seminary. He and Kelli have four wonderful kids who fill their lives with fun, laughter, and nonstop adventure. Billy is always up for a great conversation about Jesus, life, or where to find the best local coffee—and if it’s happening on a bike ride down A1A, even better.

Kelli Almaguer

Kelli loves using music to help lead people into God’s presence each week. She has been leading worship for over 25 years in various ministries and churches and helped launch Awaken City Church with her husband, Billy, in 2016. 

Kelli is a creative at heart and is also passionate about using visual arts to connect with people. She is a self‑taught graphic designer and photographer who enjoys creating content that connects people to God and to each other in meaningful ways.

She and Billy have four amazing kids, whom she’s had the privilege of homeschooling for 15+ years. When she’s not leading worship or designing, you can usually find her baking sourdough bread or tending to her six backyard chickens!

Jeff Eggleston

Jeff has been part of Awaken City Church since its beginning and serves as Executive Pastor, overseeing church operations and leading our Life Groups ministry. He’s also part of the teaching team and preaches regularly, helping people grow through biblical, practical messages.

He has worked in education since 2001, teaching in several states and overseas, and brings a heart for developing people and building systems that support healthy ministry. He’s married to his high school sweetheart, Jennie, and together they have three daughters who keep life loud, fun, and full of joy.

Jennie Eggleston

Jennie has been part of Awaken City Church since the beginning launch team, and strives to use her gifts to Follow Jesus & Cultivate People. She has served previously in various areas of ministry, including worship leadership for adults and students, Children’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and Lifegroup Leader. 

As Ministry Director at Awaken City, she loves connecting people with community and helping others grow in their faith journey. Her other roles include the worship team, event coordination, and administration. 

Outside of her church ministry role, Jennie enjoys time at the beach, health & fitness, and a good book. She and her husband Jeff have 3 children.

Cat Growick

Cat Growick has served as the Children’s Ministry Director at ACC since 2018. She is a graduate of Flagler College and was an elementary school teacher before becoming a mom and joining the staff at ACC.

Cat and her husband, Jonathan, have three sons who keep them very busy with bagpipe practice (yes, you read that right!), violin lessons, theater, and everything else that comes along with raising three boys. Cat enjoys bluegrass music, planning new places to visit, and overfilling her family’s calendar with fun activities during the holidays. Her passion is loving children for who they were created to be and helping children learn the love of their Creator. 

Joel Lloret

Joel and his wife Maegen moved to St. Augustine from Rochester, NY in 2016 and have been part of Awaken City Church ever since. He helped launch RISE Student Ministry in 2018 and now serves as Student Ministry Director.

Joel is passionate about helping students grow in their faith, build meaningful friendships, and thrive in a Christ-centered community. He works to make every student feel seen, valued, and welcomed—while making space for fun and a little craziness along the way.

Joel and Maegen have two children and love spending time together. When he’s not with students, you’ll often find him exploring new guitar gear or checking out local coffee shops with Maegen.

Isaque Moresco

Isaque has been part of Awaken City since 2021 and joined the staff team in early 2024. He oversees Sunday production and supports events throughout the church. With over 10 years of experience in audio and video production, he’s all about creating great experiences and helping others grow in their gifts.

He’s worked with churches across the country, filmed TV shows and short films, and even picked up a few Telly Awards along the way. Isaque married his wife Morgan in 2018, and they have a lively son who keeps them laughing and on their toes.

Robert Growick

Bob received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at the age of 18. Since then, Bob has served in various ministries within the local church, including the music, adult, and children’s ministries. In addition, he enjoys encouraging others and praying for their needs. Bob married his high school sweetheart Mary, and God has graciously blessed them with two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren. He has worked in the fire service in north and south Florida for over 37 years.
